The idea behind VW's babymaker campaign for the Routan minivan seems to have inspired this interesting campaign from Pedigree. Their application Doggelganger will match you to a dog that looks like you. Its engaging and more persuasive to get a person to adopt a dog that looks like her. Once matched the application provides the contact of the adoption center (currently restricted to New Zealand) for the person to go and adopt this lovely animal.
What makes this app better than VW's babymaker app is that it goes ahead from just involving the consumer in brand awareness to actually leading them to take an action by making it easy and joyfull for them to do.
Ofcourse, if these dogs are left on the streeets who will buy Pedigree for them?
